I'm Saleh Azimidokht, a Senior Backend Engineer and Software Architect focused on Python, Django, distributed systems, and production-grade software.
I'm a backend engineer who enjoys working on systems where software has to do more than simply work. I care about how systems behave under load, how services communicate, how data moves through an application, and how a system can remain maintainable as it grows.
My main stack is Python and Django, but my work goes beyond a framework. I spend a significant amount of time thinking about architecture, distributed systems, authentication, background processing, observability, databases, deployment, and the trade-offs behind technical decisions.
I design and build backend systems from the ground up, from the first database model and API to deployment, monitoring, and long-term maintenance.
Production APIs, business logic, asynchronous processing, databases, integrations, and reliable backend services.
Designing systems, service boundaries, authentication, permissions, data flows, and architectures that can evolve.
Working with background jobs, queues, caching, service-to-service communication, and systems that operate across multiple components.

My work spans software products, industrial monitoring, developer infrastructure, financial systems, and platforms designed to solve real operational problems.
Building energy monitoring systems that combine hardware measurements with software monitoring to detect and report electrical changes with high precision.
Designing backend systems for buying and selling melted gold, including pricing, transactions, APIs, asynchronous processing, and business workflows.
Designing reusable infrastructure such as centralized authentication, identity management, roles, permissions, and service integrations.
I'm a co-founder of Fardad Noavar, a software company based at Yazd Science and Technology Park. As part of the company's leadership, I'm involved not only in backend engineering, but also in technical strategy, architecture, product decisions, and the direction of our software products.
This has changed the way I approach engineering. I'm not only interested in whether a piece of code is technically correct; I also care about whether the system solves the right problem, whether it can be operated reliably, and whether it makes sense as a product.
I also build and maintain open-source software and developer tools. I enjoy extracting useful pieces of infrastructure into reusable libraries and sharing what I learn through code, technical notes, and public projects.
